Mace2theO annd SeeNote Webcast #3 - Purple Rehearsal Jams

In collaboration with Entropy MC and 2tha9s, “EMF Radio” presents the Purple Rehearsal Jams webcast. Maceo and SeeNote are back for a third time to bring you some cool moments of the Purple one in rehearsal. Included are some gems of songs rehearsed but not played in concert as well as some looser jams with the band hittin' it on the 1 and the guitar turned up.

In most cases, P is on guitar, piano (or both)...maybe even bass on DoW. Some old jams feature the Revolution and the original NPG and others the latest NPG configuration for the 'Welcome 2 Australia' tour.

    Let's Jam!

It's been too long since we've heard maceo's voice!

Great little gift to chase away the rain and wind blues!

Sometimes I love to hear the rehearsals more than the concert itself. This was definately a treat to wake up & listen to this morning.

Many thanks CK and everyone! Feedback is the fuel that keeps the engine running

...and CK, with CB and EC you might have caught on that I had a guitar-over-a-fonky-groove virus running through my veins and my immune system struggled to contain it when doing the music...I'm all better now, though

With the patience of an old turtle, this Podcast has finally found its way to my ipod, and with plenty of time to listen to it (my bus pass has run out, so I'm walking home now, half an hour up and down the Welsh hills), I'm working my way through it. Using 'working' in the nicest possible sense of the word. Laughing

First of all, truly professional DJing here, with little touches that are really great! I love the way how music keeps playing in the background (as previously used to very good effect by Master Of Podcasts Maxim). And there was also a section (was it in Automatic), where Maceo comes in towards the end nof the music, gives us some info, comes to the end of his line, and bang the song plays its conclusion. very well done!

And, after a brief spell of not listening to Prince, this music sounds powerful and refreshing again! Some excellent instrument playing, but above all energy and power fantastic! G Spot and Feline stood out, so far (I haven't finished listening yet!), but it's amazing how well the two 2012 rehearsals claim their place in the midst of the golden oldies!

And ... after all these years ... I finally realised that the 'I am here, where are you' shout out he's been using so much in the last couple of years is q quote from Rebirth Of The Flesh.

I fancy doing a cover of G-Spot now. But only if somebody else sings it. Laughing Camille?

Thanks Y - glad you enjoyed it

Whist not always the case, I was pretty happy with the songs selected as enough good stuff out to put togther a good mix. What's nice is everyone seems to have different favorites

btw, been picking up a lot from the Master over the years - perhaps will get to the graphics in 2013

Keep up the great podcasts...I really enjoy discovering what other people think are the best live tracks/rehearsals/etc. Especially of the newer live stuff -- which I've been avoiding, but the podcast on that piqued my interest on a couple shows.
