Hey guys! I'm at my dad's and I am finally the vinyl!!! I have to tell u it's really WAY BETTER than headphone mp3's! DMSR and Computer Blue's base is making my insides jump and the surround sound on Erotic City is happenin' . Oh this is great. And everything is in his spacious basement so I can enjoy everything as loud as possibly necessary Very Happy The screaming on Darling Nikki is more beautiful than I thought lol! About to listen to Temptation next Very Happy Oh the guitar is gorgeous, hehe I'mma stop. But it's gorgeous you guys, and the mixer I'm toying with makes the experience all the better!

Right now I'm on my dad's, but that will change 25th's morning Very Happy I can't believe I've been missing out on this.

This is my dad's DJing equipment. With the mixer I'm using, I can blend
into another song on another vinyl, as u can see. Like the end of
Darling Nikki into Tempation. I will practice with more smoother
    transitions later

The basement isn't soundproofed yet, so I had to keep it at a moderate level of volume once I went back upstairs to get something and he told me to, lol. Stayed down there for about 3 hours jamming . But u kno me, I had to sneak up the dial bit by bit more on my favorite parts of songs Very Happy

I just wish I had brought more of my vinyl!!!

Sooooo me and my Dad went record shop hunting today!!! Yay!!

Chicago has a few good record shops, virtually one on every corner! SO we had a few to choose from. But we only got to go to 2 shops because we got a parking ticket... so that kinda dampened my dad's spirit and that made us go home when we just started.
But I got some good finds!

And I also saw a Near Mint Japanese ATWIAD LP album! And it costs $19.99. I know it was a great deal compared to the usual $30 and up it goes for on the internet, but I was looking for other cheapy stuff. Now if it was Purple Rain or the other previous albums, I would've gotten it, but I guess. A stupid moment for the moment, lol.
But we're supposed to continue our searching this Sunday and then Tuesday. This time we'll go by bus!

I got my record player today!! Yay! And a mixer too. I'm glad! Yes, I
know, about 2 days too early, but I'm happy Very Happy Just as long as I have it
sunny Looks like I'm gonna have his old mixer downstairs downstairs in the basement and I have the same model record player that he has. But for output speakers, I'm gonna have to use my brother's stereo speakers.

lol Now I'm gonna put on Dirty Mind and put the headphones on (When I was showing Poppa X the vinyl I brought over, he didn't even acknowledge Dirty Mind, lol. Just can't sing along to track 6! )

Finally back from Chicago & back at home Sleep . But I have to post pics of my new goodies to fully end 2010 and begin a fresh start for 2011 b4 bed!!!

First, my new setup at home (on my dresser)

And now, my new purple wax!

Purple Rain (oh yes, with the sticker and poster!) As JFrost already knows is the best damaged goods Very Happy

    The Time
    Ice Cream Castle

Got these from raggedy record shop in Chicago that had their records categorized by number instead of by artist... So I had to write down the numbers that were printed in a book and let the manager guy find them. He came back with my order and they were "ok", but they were 6 bucks each, kind of a rip off compared to the next place me and my dad went to, where they were in plastic outer sleeves and were 3-4 bucks max. But I got TMWY and IWBYL from the raggedy place and IB from Dusty Groove (the cool place)
I Wanna B Ur Lover/My Love Is Forever
    Take Me With U/Baby I'm A Star
    Irresistible Bitch/Let's Pretend We're Married

    The Beautiful Experience
    Planet Earth
    1999 (w/o DMSR)
Thought it would be pretty cool 2 pick this up since it's sourced from the original single 1999 LP
    The Vault...Old Friends 4 Sale

    Then!!!

OK you now qualify as crazy collector and have overtaken me by 17 miles (days): 1 have 2 Prince 7" Laughing

PS In a way, it's a pity you go so fast: you'll have reached the bottom of the barrel in no time! Shocked
When I started collecting Beatles music it took me about 6 years to get all the 13 albums!! 6 sweet years, as I recall them. Laughing

The NPG Music Club Complete Collection has been posted in our library for some time now.
Basically everything you see in that section is what is contained in the set.
There is more than one DOW Cd-Rom but if she is referring to the magazine in PDF form , then your not missing very much.
There is also a DOW Cd-Rom key which linked to the website back in the day, but that's probably not what she has found.

    Hey CKJ

My friend had made a copy of the cd-rom for me because I needed a certain issue for a reference guide to some material. As for the NPG disc, it's also a burned copy that he had thrown in . I been had it on file from the
    Code:
    ILLEGAL SITE REFERENCE
when it was first uploaded , but it's nice to have a hard copy as well

Also! This was delivered in the post today Pretty fast from the UK
