    In this topic....."Interesting Facts";

For every reply there are 10 views.

My bad that the facts are not interesting enough.

    Righteeohh then:

The term "the whole 9 yards" came from WWII fighter pilots in the South Pacific.

When arming their airplanes on the ground, the .50 caliber machine gun ammo belts measured exactly 27 feet, before being loaded into the fuselage. If the pilots fired all their ammo at a target, it got "the whole 9 yards."

That's the reason I always had a thing for redheads. All redheads are babes! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Before you all start jumping to conclusions...I refer to the females only.

Babes...all of them...I repeat....Babes![You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Now there is something we would all like to see [and hear].....

OK, when I say 'like' , I mean 'not like'...or hear

and when I say 'we' , I mean 'no one'.... Laughing

Scientists believe that if we had no cows, the 'global warming?' problem would sort itself out sooner rather than later.

I for one do like the odd burger and delicious hunk of steak...popcorn so keep the cows I say. Very Happy

The phrase, "It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye" is from Ancient Rome.

The only rule during wrestling matches was:

    "No Eye Gouging."

Everything else was allowed, but the only way to be disqualified was to poke someone's eye out.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Clans of long ago that wanted to get rid of unwanted people without killing them use to burn their houses down.

Hence the expression "to get fired."[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The world feels very solid around us, but in reality almost all of the
size of each of the atoms that make up matter is empty space. The
nucleus is tiny in comparison to the size of the atom and the electrons
that inhabit the orbital cloud are much smaller still. If you imagine it
as a solar system with the nucleus being a tiny Sun and the electrons
as mere asteroids or mere specks inhabiting the orbits as far as
erstwhile planet Pluto, you can see that the majority of the atomic size
    is simply space!
In fact, if you could squeeze all this empty
space out of all the atoms, pushing all the nuclei and electrons
together, then the whole human population of Earth would fit into a
volume roughly equal to a sugar cube!

All of creation is much closer to being a computer program than one would think.
