    And what was this?

    The article beyond:
You know, sometimes it seems like the Germans can't help but screw things up. Take the example of the Scorpions, the Hannover-born quintet who penned one of the greatest metal ballads of all time, the unstoppable "Rock You Like A Hurricane". You'd think that they'd want to keep a lid on any bizarre stunts that could possibly threaten their mainstream success, right? Wrong. On the cover of their fourth album, 1976's Virgin Killer, their clueless management decided to put an image that would shatter the bounds of good taste so completely that they could never again be repaired. The image features a young lassie of indeterminate age posing seductively with a shattered glass effect laid over her crotch.
The band regrets the shocking image now, of course, and reissues of the record have all featured an alternate cover image of the band posing menacingly.

And this from my hometown - based - band.....inapprehensible.

Think I saw a re-issue of that Scorpions album last, with that original cover still there.
On the whole it seemed like a nice remaster/re-issue with extra's or maybe another album coupled with it
... but the cover is just too disturbing for me
    left it there

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] OFFTOPIC!

But....Shut up and dance where one of the first artists who take several well known samples, like "Save a Prayer" from Duran Duran
(don´t know if they where really the first who does this...) and get claimed (?) for the copyright laws.

The success brought copyright lawyers from at least six major labels, responding to obvious transgressions against their artists. Shut Up & Dance spent two years of legal wrangling; the hassles eventually bankrupted their label.

And they where cool, really cool! (But the cover is very terrible, yes!)

Check out the Black Men United Album! It´s dope!
(Don´t forget, if u listen to it, it is from 1995!)

But it has a better cover! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

They play Ragga, Breakbeat, Jungle, HipHop, Soul, House, somewhat what we call today DUBSTEP....etc

And they still perform today...with much less success

As far as Prince Album covers go this has to be the worst for me. My Dad hated this cover and went nuts when I left it down stairs after listening to it on my Mothers Radiogram, Ah memories lol!

I came across this while through google images, and thought I had to add this to the thread Laughing
